LikeHobby is a searchable hobby atlas and recommendation quiz. Both can run in your browser without creating an account.
Information we process
Your quiz answers are used in your browser to calculate hobby matches. The current static version does not require you to submit your name, email address, or account information to receive results.
Saved hobbies and Atlas search
If you save a hobby, LikeHobby stores only that hobby's numeric identifier and a timestamp in this browser under likehobby_atlas_saved_v1. The local saved list is not uploaded. A save or unsave analytics event can include the hobby identifier and the aggregate number saved after that action, but not your complete saved list. You can remove a saved hobby by unsaving it or by clearing this site's browser data.
LikeHobby also stores the last Atlas visit time under likehobby_atlas_visit_v1 so it can measure whether saved hobbies help on a later visit. Analytics receives only a coarse same-day or later-return band, not the stored timestamp.
Your Atlas search phrase stays in the browser. Analytics receives only coarse search-length and token-count bands, result count, and filter state—never the words you typed.
Analytics
LikeHobby uses Google Analytics through Google Tag Manager to measure the Atlas, recommendation, and guide funnels, and Vercel Web Analytics to count privacy-friendly page views, visitors, and traffic sources. Event data can include Atlas version, hobby identifiers, result count, coarse search bands, filter state, saved count, quiz version, question and option identifiers, step number, completion time, top match identifier, page path, guide interactions, and affiliate-link clicks. LikeHobby does not send Atlas search phrases, quiz free text, names, email addresses, phone numbers, or payment details. Vercel Web Analytics does not use third-party cookies or store personal information about visitors.
LikeHobby also collects first-party Core Web Vitals receipts for Largest Contentful Paint (LCP), Interaction to Next Paint (INP), and Cumulative Layout Shift (CLS) so real mobile, tablet, and desktop experience can be evaluated. A receipt contains the metric value, canonical page path, stable content identifier, coarse viewport class, navigation type, release and library versions, controlled-test status, and one metric-instance ID used only to deduplicate repeated reports from the same page view. It does not contain element selectors or other DOM details, query strings, URL fragments, user-agent strings, network details, free text, contact or payment information, or a visitor or session identifier; the metric-instance ID is not reused as a visitor or session identifier.
LikeHobby accepts privacy-minimized first-party funnel receipts and affiliate-click receipts for a strict allowlist of core funnel and disclosed outbound-click actions. Each receipt uses one random per-event delivery ID. It does not contain a visitor or session identifier, and that ID is not reused as a visitor or session identifier. An affiliate-click receipt uses the same random per-event delivery ID as the matching outbound-click event so the two deliveries can be checked without creating a browsing profile. Receipts may include only a versioned event name, action time, page path, stable content or funnel identifiers, coarse outcome, disclosure status, and controlled-test fields. Accepted records may be normalized into an internal revenue-reconciliation ledger. Amazon accounting snapshots in the normalized ledger use an append-only revision model: a corrected source creates a new revision instead of overwriting the earlier snapshot. The ledger stores only allowlisted fields and integrity or deduplication hashes—never raw request bodies, raw platform-log envelopes, destination URLs, query strings, free text, visitor or session identifiers, account or payment data, or personally identifiable information (PII). Controlled-test fields separate controlled tests from real activity, and test or legacy-client records are excluded from production funnel and revenue calculations.
Operator-held raw receipt export files are deleted within 30 days. Normalized records that still contain an event or interaction delivery ID are retained for no more than 120 days, then reduced to identifier-free daily aggregates and deleted. LikeHobby may retain those aggregate counts, Amazon accounting facts, source-integrity hashes, and a deletion record containing only the deletion date, source hash, deletion category, affected row count, and retention cutoff. This keeps the evidence needed to audit totals without retaining a browsing profile or a cross-session identity.
LikeHobby's affiliate-click receipts show that a disclosed link was selected; they do not prove that a purchase occurred. Amazon Associates remains the authority for orders and commission. Its reports are authoritative for orders, shipped-item revenue, and commission income only at the selected reporting-period and Associates Tracking ID level. LikeHobby does not use those reports to identify a buyer or deterministically assign an Amazon order or commission to a page, article, item, CTA, or person. Any content-level commission field in the ledger is therefore stored as NULL—meaning “not attributed,” not zero or an estimated amount—while first-party content and click counts remain directional aggregate context. A missing disclosure is retained as a compliance failure and excluded from the validated-click measure.
Advertising
LikeHobby does not currently serve display ads. If display advertising is introduced later, this policy will be updated before those ads are enabled.
Advertising choices and non-content pages
LikeHobby keeps advertising off privacy, terms, contact, and similar non-content pages. Content pages may include clearly disclosed affiliate links, but paid links are not required to use the quiz or read the guides. Browser controls can be used to limit cookies or tracking technologies.
Third-party and affiliate links
LikeHobby links to external marketplaces such as Amazon for hobby supplies and starter kits. Links marked as paid or affiliate links use the active LikeHobby Associates tracking tag, and LikeHobby may earn from qualifying purchases at no extra cost to you. Those websites collect information according to their own policies.
Data sale and sensitive information
LikeHobby does not ask for sensitive personal details in the quiz and does not sell quiz answers. The site does not require an account, payment details, phone number, or profile to read guides or receive quiz results.
